It is definitely important to be a fully present boss. The relationship between co-workers and their boss will be healthier. Co-workers will be feel comfortable talking with their boss because they know that they will be listened to.

I think that the Buddhists call it 'mindfulness' and it a world of distractions and short attention spans it is a great technique to practice.
